LECTURE TITLE
| From Single to Full Arch with BD Cuff & ARi Implnts : Minimal Invasion, Maximum Rehabilitation |
LECTURE ABSTRACT
Contemporary implant dentistry is shifting from simply replacing missing teeth towards biologically driven rehabilitation that prioritises tissue preservation, reduced surgical morbidity and long-term restorative stability. Modern implant designs can provide clinicians with new possibilities to achieve predictable rehabilitation while preserving valuable hard and soft tissues and potentially reducing the need for extensive augmentation.
This lecture explores the clinical applications of BD Cuff and ARI Megagen implants, from single-tooth replacement and short-span fixed bridges to complex full-arch fixed rehabilitation. Through clinical cases, the presentation will demonstrate how implant design, prosthetically driven positioning and careful case selection can provide minimally invasive solutions in anatomically challenging situations.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the concept of preservation: preserving available bone, maintaining peri-implant soft tissues, respecting anatomical structures and maximising the value of the patient’s existing anatomy. Clinical scenarios involving narrow ridges, reduced bone volume, compromised posterior anatomy and full-arch rehabilitation will illustrate how alternative implant strategies may reduce the extent of surgical intervention and, in selected cases, avoid more invasive bone augmentation procedures.
The integration of digital planning, immediate treatment concepts and contemporary prosthetic workflows will also be discussed, highlighting their role in improving treatment efficiency and patient experience while maintaining sound biological and mechanical principles.
Ultimately, the presentation proposes a preservation-driven philosophy of implant dentistry: use what is available, preserve what is valuable, and replace only what is necessary—allowing clinicians to progress from single-tooth treatment to full-arch rehabilitation with the goal of achieving minimal invasion and maximum rehabilitation.

By the end of this lecture, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the design principles and clinical concepts behind BD Cuff and ARI implants and their potential applications in minimally invasive implant rehabilitation.
2. Identify appropriate clinical indications for using BD Cuff and ARI implants in single-tooth, short-span bridge and full-arch fixed rehabilitations.
3. Apply preservation-driven treatment planning principles that prioritise the conservation of available bone, soft tissues and anatomical structures.
4. Evaluate clinical cases and determine how prosthetically driven implant positioning, digital planning and contemporary workflows can facilitate minimally invasive rehabilitation.
5. Integrate surgical and prosthetic strategies to develop patient-centred treatment approaches that aim to achieve maximum functional and restorative rehabilitation with minimal biological intervention. |
